Changing lanes: not looking in mirrors and doing a shoulder check before changing lanes. Or not indicating for at least 3 seconds before changing lanes. On check-up drives, you should also practise hazard detection and response ahead of sitting the full licence test.
If they sit their restricted licence test in an automatic vehicle, they’ll only be able to drive automatic vehicles while on their restricted licence, unless they have their supervisor with them. Once they have their full licence, they’ll be able to drive either vehicle type.
