What speed should I go during the test?

An important part of being a safe driver is the ability to drive to the conditions, as well as maintain an appropriate speed, while doing other driving tasks like watching for hazards.

During your restricted licence test you must obey the speed limit, including any temporary speed limits. Remember you’ll also need to change your speed to suit the driving conditions you might encounter during the test, such as poor light, bad weather, heavy traffic, road conditions and any changes to the road layout - roundabouts, intersections, bends etc.
