Skills to work on before the test
It should be 2 seconds in good conditions. If it’s wet, hard to see, or on an unsealed road, your following distance should be at least 4 seconds. After you change lanes or join a traffic flow, correct your following distance as soon as possible.
Long-distance driving
Following distance: check they keep to a 2-second following distance in normal conditions. Or a 4-second following distance in wet or icy conditions. Curves: check they drive through curves correctly. They should brake before a curve and use the correct lines in and out of the curve.
